Greenhouse Associate
Full Time Starting Base Pay Rate $13.00-$15.00 per hour.
*Hourly rate does not include value of benefits and overtime compensation provided to Associates.​
Schedule: M-F 7 am – 3:30 pm, with some Saturdays
Location: Graham County *Relocation assistance is not provided*

Seeking full-time Greenhouse Associates to serve in cannabis grow operation, to provide the necessary labor for required plant maintenance and growth. The Associate promotes a positive culture while complying with company standards and maintaining a safe work environment.
The Associate is responsible for duties including, but not limited to: greenhouse preparation, planting, cloning, pruning, irrigating, arranging/spacing plants, removing shoots, plant treatments, trellising, leafing, shooting, truss-support, clean-up, installation, maintenance and replacement of drip systems, and all other necessary cultural practices and greenhouse support duties encompassing the full scope of the business. The Associate supports management’s efforts to ensure compliance with all corporate Program expectations and applicable regulations & state laws.
Greenhouse Associate Responsibilities

Follow standards in the areas of quality, safety programs, food safety systems, GMP’s (Good Manufacturing Processes) and departmental processes, including wearing PPE as required.

Assist in the preparation of Greenhouse for planting including, lifting pipes, sanitation, soil preparation, painting, leveling ground, and replacement of ground cover. Assist in preparing clones for planting in greenhouse

Install, inspect and maintain irrigation system in assigned rows

Follow instruction for plant treatments in elimination and prevention of pest and disease

Install and maintain plant support (Trellises) structures to eliminate bending or breakage of plant

Record, transcribe and report required inventory data

Remove shoots and suckers as instructed by manager

Clean up of both inside and outside the greenhouse, including picking up trash, plant material, pulling weeds, removing foreign objects, sweeping, and washing glass.
Essential Skills, Knowledge And Experience

Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs. frequently

Ability to work in extreme temperature ranges from 30 – 100 degrees Fahrenheit

Ability to work in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time

Ability to work in or around dust, soil, and composted material
-
Ability to work with and around chemicals, disinfectants, fertilizers
-
Ability to use sharp hand tools repetitively and safely – full hand and wrist dexterity

Ability to Stand and/or walk for prolonged periods of time, stoop, squat, bend, twist.

Operating powered equipment (trolley, power washer) as trained
Basic Qualifications

Flexibility to work weekends, holidays and extended hours as needed

Must be 21 years of age or older. Ability to successfully complete a post-offer / pre-employment Drug and Alcohol Screening and criminal background check for successful completion of obtaining a Dispensary Agent Card.

Experience maintaining confidentiality in matters involving security issues in the work place
Preferred Qualifications
-
1 year agricultural or farming, prior greenhouse experience preferred (tomatoes, cucumbers, etc)

Experience in medical cannabis industry or large scale grow operations

Ability to speak both English and Spanish a plus
